The Science
Built on Research.
Designed With You in Mind.
Most supplements are designed for everyone. Brown Body Reset starts with the wellness priorities of Brown and Black women. Every ingredient was selected using published clinical research and combined into formulas designed to support your everyday wellness.*
Our research foundation. BBR's formulas are built on published research conducted primarily in South Asian populations, since that's where much of the existing data on diet, metabolism, and nutrient deficiency in Brown communities currently exists. We believe these findings carry real relevance across Brown and Black communities who share overlapping patterns in diet and nutrient needs, and we're actively expanding our research base to reflect that as BBR grows.
The Problem
Why We Started with Brown and Black Bodies
Brown and Black adults are often left out of the research behind mainstream supplements. Differences in skin pigmentation, diet, and how nutrients are absorbed mean a one-size-fits-all formula doesn't always fit. BBR was built to close that gap.
75%
Low in Vitamin D. Up to 75% of Brown and Black adults have insufficient Vitamin D levels, a nutrient tied to energy, mood, and immune health.1 Darker skin needs more sun exposure to produce the same amount of Vitamin D, which is part of why deficiency is so common across Brown and Black communities.2

More Common
Low in Vitamin B12. Diets built around rice, lentils, and vegetables can run low in B12, even when meat is part of the mix, a nutrient tied to energy and focus.3 B12 comes from animal products, so the more plant-forward a diet is day to day, the easier it is to fall short without noticing. It often shows up as fatigue or brain fog that's easy to blame on something else.4
Found in AM Recharge
Lower Intake
Magnesium. 48% of U.S. adults don't get enough magnesium day to day, a mineral tied to sleep quality, muscle recovery, and stress response.5 It plays a direct role in relaxing muscles and calming the nervous system, which is often the first thing to run short during high-stress stretches.6

The System
How the AM + PM System Works
Your body operates on a circadian rhythm — a natural biological clock that governs energy, metabolism, mood, and recovery. BBR was designed to work with that rhythm, not against it. Two formulas. Two times a day. One complete system.*
Taken each morning with food
The AM formula supports your body's daytime needs: carbohydrate processing, energy metabolism, mood, and appetite balance. Ingredients were selected based on research relevant to Brown and Black populations, where Vitamin D and B12 levels are commonly low.*
- Fuels steady energy through the afternoon*
- Helps quiet the pull toward sugar throughout the day*
- Provides Vitamin D and B12, nutrients that are commonly under-consumed or insufficient in many Black and Brown communities.*
- Brings emotional balance and a calmer, more grounded mood from morning*
Taken each evening before bed
The PM formula supports your body's overnight functions: natural wind-down, muscle relaxation, overnight metabolic balance, and restful sleep. No melatonin. No sedatives. Just clean ingredients that work with your body's natural processes.*
- Helps your mind slow down before bed*
- Magnesium supports restful sleep and overnight muscle recovery*
- L-Theanine quiets mental noise and eases you into rest naturally*
- Overnight Berberine supports metabolic balance, helping you start your morning steady*
The Ingredients
Every Ingredient Chosen for a Reason
We worked with a qualified biochemist and food scientist to identify ingredients supported by published clinical research, while considering nutrition research involving Black and Brown populations. No filler ingredients. No proprietary blends. Every ingredient serves a purpose.*
Berberine is a plant-based bioactive compound with dozens of published scientific studies, one of the most researched natural compounds in the world. It has been studied extensively for its role in supporting how your body processes carbohydrates and general metabolic function.*
An Ayurvedic herb used for over 2,000 years in South Asian traditional medicine, Gymnema Sylvestre has long been valued for its role in supporting healthy appetite and sugar metabolism. Its name literally translates to 'sugar destroyer' in Hindi, reflecting its traditional use around sweet cravings.*
Not all cinnamon is the same. Ceylon Cinnamon, known as 'true cinnamon', is distinct from the cheaper cassia cinnamon found in most supplements.
Ceylon has been studied for its role in supporting how your body processes carbohydrates, and is widely used in South Asian and Caribbean cooking, meaning it's an ingredient your body may already know.*
One of the most studied botanical compounds in the world, ginger has been used across South Asian, African, Caribbean, Middle Eastern, and Hispanic food cultures for thousands of years.
Beyond its familiar role in cooking, ginger has been studied for digestive comfort and support.*
Saffron is one of the world's most prized botanicals, and one of the most studied natural compounds for mood and appetite. Over 23 published clinical trials have examined its effects on mood, emotional balance, and healthy appetite.
Used for centuries across South Asian, Middle Eastern, Persian, East African, and Caribbean cultures.
In AM Recharge, saffron brings emotional balance and a calmer, more grounded mood from the moment you wake up.*
Vitamin B12 is essential for energy production at a cellular level. Without it, your body cannot produce the energy it needs to function.
Vitamin B12 insufficiency may be more common in certain Black and Brown communities due to dietary patterns and other factors.*
Chromium is an essential trace mineral that plays a key role in how your body processes carbohydrates, fats, and protein. It has been studied for its role in supporting how your body processes carbohydrates, and its ability to help quiet sugar cravings, particularly in the afternoon hours when energy and willpower are at their lowest.*
Vitamin K2 is often called the 'forgotten vitamin', overlooked in most supplements despite its critical role in calcium metabolism. It works synergistically with Vitamin D3 to support normal calcium metabolism.*
Vitamin D3 is one of the most critical nutrients for energy, immunity, and mood, and one of the most deficient. Research shows that up to 75% of Brown and Black adults are Vitamin D deficient, largely because darker skin pigmentation reduces the body's ability to synthesize Vitamin D from sunlight. Yet most mainstream supplements were not formulated with this population in mind. BBR's AM formula puts Vitamin D3 front and center.*
Magnesium is involved in over 300 enzymatic reactions in the human body, making it one of the most essential minerals for life.
In the evening, Magnesium Glycinate supports muscle relaxation, natural wind-down, and the kind of deep rest that allows your body to recover overnight.
Research suggests that magnesium deficiency is more common in Brown and Black adults.*
Berberine appears in both BBR formulas, morning and night, because its benefits don't stop when the sun goes down.
In the PM formula, Berberine supports overnight metabolic balance, helping your body maintain healthy function through the hours when it does its deepest recovery work.*
L-Theanine is a naturally occurring amino acid found primarily in green tea leaves, long used in East Asian and South Asian tea cultures for its calming properties. In clinical research, L-Theanine has been shown to support relaxation, helping your mind wind down naturally.*
Ginger appears in both BBR formulas, familiar across South Asian, African, and Caribbean food cultures. In the PM formula, Ginger plays a quieter role: supporting overnight digestion and comfortable digestion overnight.*
Saffron appears in both BBR formulas, with a different purpose at night. In PM Restore, it quiets the mental noise that can prevent your body from fully winding down, and helps support evening satiety. Over 23 published clinical trials support its role in both daytime and nighttime. Used for centuries across South Asian, Middle Eastern, Persian, East African, and Caribbean cultures.*
